The brains behind the bananas

Katie Grennall

Born into a family who loved good food, Katie’s mother got her started in the kitchen from an early age, planting the seed for a lifetime love of food and cooking, both through her job and her own culinary explorations.

Having worked in the food industry for over 20 years, Katie’s CV reads like a who’s who of the food world. She’s worked with so many successful international food and drink brands including Muller Yogurts, Clipper teas, Organix, 9bar, Lizis and The Great British Porridge Co. her success with these brands has allowed her to fulfil her other passion for travelling the world.

Work has taken Katie all over the globe, on those many trips Katie was constantly looking for a product to put her name to. Whilst in Asia - just before the global pandemic - Katie discovered banana crisps, it was love at first bite.

A huge banana and snack fan, banana crisps ticked all the boxes for her - health, nutrition, convenience and flavour. Upon her return Katie set about making her dream a reality and teamed up with her old friend Mike, together they began tailoring the flavours to suit European tastes and voila Katies Food Co was born…
